In October 2018, over 200 B2B marketing professionals gathered in Sydney for ICON XQ: Market Leadership.

After rebranding in 2017 from APSMA (Australian Professional Services Marketing Association) to ICON (Influence, Collaboration and Opportunity Network) to reflect a more future-focused and progressive organisation, their flagship ANZ event was a major opportunity to showcase this new direction through an innovative event programme.

Across 5 keynote sessions (with speakers from major brands such as PwC, Cisco and ANZ), 3 CMO breakout sessions and 6 practitioner sessions, the event focused on five intelligence (Q) streams, each an important component of the market leadership puzzle. The sessions were designed to give delegates insights and knowledge to master leadership in the ever evolving B2B landscape.

And the X in XQ? X is the X factor that will drive tomorrow’s global market leaders and innovators. 

BBN Australia Manager Director, Karen Powell, joined the Board of Directors for ICON early in 2018 and alongside Bronwyn Cook were on the Conference Planning Group for this event.

McCorkell and BBN were the hydration sponsors for the event, which involved our respective logos been placed onto re-useable aluminium water bottles which were provided to delegates.

These water bottles were hugely popular and we had to secretly squirrel away some spares to be able to share back at the office!

BBN Australia have commenced follow up activity to the delegates and look forward to being able to share some joint opportunities shortly.
